Quick Update!

Things have been absolutely chocker recently so forgive me for missing last week’s blog post!

Here’s a quick update on what I’ve been up to...

So, the weekend before last I played lots of acoustic music on The Wirral and in West Kirby and Hoylake at both Grand Ave. and at a lovely new venue for me, The Quadrant in Hoylake. My set at The Quadrant was part of Hoylake Live which turned out to be a great success despite the terrible weather we had that day and it was fantastic to see lots of familiar faces and other brilliant musicians there too.

That same weekend I also played at The Cheshire Cat as part of their Gin Festival. This place is a lovely, traditional pub and it was a pleasure to play my acoustic music in Chester and to be a part of their event.

My good friend Josh Edwards joined me for most of the weekend to film some of my sets as part of a short film he's working on – I’m really excited to see the final result, but I’ll write a bit more about the project when I have time!

Something else I’ll also write a bit more on at some point is this, my new guitar…

To say I’m happy with this thing would be an extreme understatement! She really does sound as good a she looks and it’s also a bit of a childhood dream to own a Gibson, so yeah, very, very happy!

This weekend just gone I played at The Sweeney at their Band in the Barn event on Friday evening. The Sweeney is a stunning venue and what they’ve done with the barn is really special. It was a lovely clear night and so I played just outside the barn under clear skies and twinkly lights and the atmosphere was fantastic – I can’t wait to be back playing acoustic music in Oswestry for their Gin Festival later this month!

Much of my spare time at the moment is being spent writing as much as I can, I’m hoping to have some original songs ready to play in the very near future. This is alongside preparing music for the numerous weddings and events I have coming up – I’m extremely busy but it’s amazing to be so busy doing something I love!

Something else I’d like to mention is that I’ll be playing at a couple of wedding fayres later in the year, so if you or anyone you know is looking for a wedding singer in Shropshire or Cheshire then keep an eye out for more details.

Apologies that this post is all a bit slap dash! I hope you’re all well and I’ll have some more updates for you next week!
